EJWOP’s impact factor

In the mail, from EJWOP:

Dear Dr Whitford,

I am happy to inform you that the EJWOP 2012 2-Year Impact Factor (2-Y IF) has risen to 2.094 (2012 JCR Social Sciences Edition), showing an improvement over the 2011 2-Y IF (from 1.962 to 2.094).

Considering the just-published 2012 JCR Social Sciences Edition, EJWOP is ranked 16th out of the 72 journals in the “PSYCHOLOGY, APPLIED” category and 39th out of the 172 journals in the “MANAGEMENT” category. Therefore, EJWOP has reached the first quartile in each category, and consequently, we already accomplished the goal we targeted in the last EAWOP General Assembly celebrated in Münster last month. Considering the EJWOP 2012 5-Year Impact Factor (2.485), the journal has experienced a slight decrease (from 2.798 to 2.485).

The fact that we’ve surpassed the 2.00 IF threshold, and that we’ve consolidated our position into the first quartile of our categories of reference, should make all us really proud of the journal functioning and scientific acceptance. These good news are the result from a collective effort attributable firstly to the good job of our authors, the outstanding performance of reviewers and consulting editors, to the invaluable help of both Routledge (former Psychology Press), and EAWOP, and finally to the enormous effort of the editorial team in orchestrating the whole process.

Thank you all very much indeed for your tireless effort, support, and time you put into making a better journal every day.

Very best wishes: Ramón

Ramón Rico, Ph.D.
Editor, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology
